Grey Colonnade · view in room

Grey Colonnade

Not a dance but a pause. A woman stands among carved grey columns, one hand at her side, her veil drawn over her face. Through the colonnade a pale dome rises in the distance. The canvas is grey and white, and the only colour is in her clothes and the loose tiles around her: gold, copper and amber.
