Carved Doors

Six dancers turn in a line in front of two tall carved doors, painted brown with arched niches. Between the doors the light is white and yellow. The ghagras are pink, blue, red and yellow, their hems heavy with rings of small roses, and the tiles beneath them spill out across a floor of violet and gold.
